Documents let you share lease files, forms and notices with a property or one resident. Residents can return completed copies, and you can acknowledge receipt from the same document area.
Publish a document
- On Home, tap Lease & Forms. Your management screen is titled Documents.
- Tap the plus icon, or Upload Document when the library is empty.
- In Upload document, choose the property if prompted.
- Enter Title and, if useful, Description (optional). Use the description to explain what residents should do with the file.
- Under Share with, select Everyone or One resident. If you choose one resident, select their name.
- Tap Choose a file, select the file, then tap Publish document.
Accepted formats are PDF, DOCX, PNG and JPG, with a 20 MB file-size limit. The title and file are required. Publishing notifies the selected resident or the residents of that property.
Check the audience
Share with starts at Everyone. For an individual lease, change it to One resident before publishing if only that resident should see it.
On the Library tab, each card shows its file name, size, publication date and audience. Everyone means the property's residents, not every account in HelloNido. A targeted card identifies the selected resident. Tap View to open the published file.
Receive completed copies
- Open Documents and switch from Library to Submissions.
- Find the resident's submission and check its parent document.
- Tap View to open the returned file.
- Tap Mark received once you have received it.
A new submission shows Pending in your inbox. After acknowledgement it shows Received, and the resident is notified. The submissions tab includes a pending count when there are copies awaiting review.
Delete a document
In Library, tap Delete on the document and confirm the deletion. The published file and all resident submissions attached to it are permanently removed. Keep any copies you need before confirming.
Good to know
- Only authorized management accounts can publish documents and acknowledge submissions. An expired or canceled plan blocks those management changes.
- Residents can see files shared with their property or directly with them, and their own submitted copies. They cannot read another resident's private submissions.
