How to Pay Rent Online in HelloNido

Pay rent by card or bank transfer from Rent & Payments. You see the fee and the total before you pay.

1. Open Rent & Payments

From Home, tap Rent & Payments. You'll see each charge with its period, due date, amount and status:

  • Upcoming: not due yet
  • Due: ready to pay
  • Overdue: past the due date
  • Processing: payment sent and waiting to settle
  • Paid: done

2. Pay a charge

  1. Tap Pay on the charge (the button shows the amount, for example Pay $1,500.00).
  2. Under Payment method, choose Card or Bank. Each option shows its fee in dollars.
  3. Check the Total today.
  4. On the web, tap Continue to Checkout and finish on Stripe's secure payment page. In the mobile app, tap Pay.

Your card or bank details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor. HelloNido never stores them.

3. After you pay

  • Card payments confirm within seconds.
  • Bank transfers take 3 to 5 business days to settle. The charge shows Processing until then.

When a payment succeeds, you get a Rent payment confirmed notification and email with the amount, the fee and the total charged.

If you leave checkout before finishing, the charge shows Resume checkout for up to 30 minutes so you can pick up where you left off. After that, tap Pay to start again.

Fees

Residents never pay a subscription. A convenience fee applies to each online payment, and you always see it before you pay:

  • Card: 3.5% of the payment
  • Bank transfer: $6 plus 0.25% of the payment

Your landlord receives your full rent. Your card or bank statement may show your landlord's business name rather than HelloNido.

Paying in installments

If your landlord offers weekly or bi-weekly payment plans, you can split rent into smaller payments. Plans with installments let you choose Next installment, Remaining or Custom when you pay. Monthly rent is paid in full.

Choose carefully: once you pick a plan, changing it usually needs your landlord's approval.

Can't tap Pay?

If you see "Rent payments aren't set up for this property yet", your landlord hasn't finished connecting payouts. Your charges stay listed, and paying unlocks as soon as they finish. Until then, pay your landlord the way you normally do.

Your payment history

  • Each charge lists its payments, including failed attempts.
  • To download a CSV, go to Profile, tap Payment history, then Download my payment history.

Refunds

Refunds come from your landlord. If you believe you were charged in error, contact your landlord through Messages. When a refund is issued, the charge shows as refunded and returns to your balance.
